Held in January, the Village Fair in Trivandrum sees recreation of an entire village as those of older times. This week-long festival promotes traditional dance forms like Koodiyattam, Kathakali, Kalaripayattu and Theyyam. February is the ideal time for food lovers to visit the city because of its lip-smacking Food Festival. Other events in Trivandrum include the festivals of Onam, Vetta and Arattu, and Attukal Pongala. Many business events in Trivandrum are held round the year pulling people from around the country for exhibitions, seminars and conferences. The city hosts textile exhibitions, painting exhibitions, theatre festivals, Agri Business Show etc. among other events.
