Teachings of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama, are the heart and soul of this commemoration. The Tibetan’s New Year Festival, Losar, is another major festival of the city. With unique masks, vibrant costumes and eccentric headgears, it is nothing less than a carnival. November is also a good time to visit McLeod Ganj because of the Dharmashala Film Festival. It provides a platform to both, Indian and international film makers by showcasing their documentaries, short films and independent movies.
