Port Blair is headquarters for the Indian district of Andaman. It is home to several museums & a major base for the Indian Coast Guard. Port Blair is named after Lieutenant Archibald Blair of the British East India Company. Port Blair is known as Emerald Islands. It is very attractive site for tourists with lush green forests & blue of the sea. It is well known for its sandy beaches & crystal water.
