Music is in the veins of Goan people and they usually listen to trance, western classic music, jazz, techno, blues, etc. Most music performances start with the Portugal tune and style.
All major festivals including Goa carnival, Bonderam festival, Christian festivals, Hindu festivals, Muslim festivals and Shigmo festivals are celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm. A major chunk of population comprises of Christians who converted to Christianity during Portuguese rule.
